BERNARD VAUDEVILLE

Bernard VAUDEVILLE is associate director of T/E/S/S atelier d’ingénierie, which he founded in 2007 with Tom GRAY and Matt KING.

He is also Director of the Civil Engineering and Building department of the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.

He graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and as an architect from the Ecole d’Architecture Paris-Villemin.

Bernard VAUDEVILLE has worked on many projects for OVE ARUP, RFR, and now T/E/S/S, among which are the Nuage de la Grande Arche at La Défense, the Simone de Beauvoir footbridge in Paris, Terminal 2F and the reconstruction of Terminal 2E at Roissy–Charles de Gaulle airport, the Stade de Nanterre, and the glazed roof of the parliament building in New Delhi. He headed the teams responsible for the technical design of the building envelope and canopies of the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

He was named "Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes académiques" in 2008. In 2006 he was awarded the "Prix de l’Association Française du Génie Civil" (A.F.G.C.), and the "Grande Médaille d’argent de l’Académie d’Architecture de Paris", in the category Research and Technology.
